Stroll through12 unique residential gardens in Salem's lovely Fairmount Hill Neighborhood.
The self-guided garden tour is an annual fundraiser for Lord & Schryver Conservancy. Learn more about the organization and our tour sponsors at www.lordschryver.org. The one-day ticket price is $30 per person ages 16 and older and free under age 16. A two-day ticket may be purchased for $40 for those who prefer to tour at a more leisurely pace.
Limited timed entry tickets will be sold to help manage capacity and comply with COVID-19 social distancing requirements. Select to come Saturday or Sunday and on the hour between 10am and 3pm. No tickets may be purchased on site during the garden tour.
The walking tour will take place in a hilly neighborhood. Garden terrain varies and may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges. Also, driving between individual gardens is discouraged to respect the privacy of the neighbors along the tour route. Please keep this in mind when planning your visit.
Parking is available at the Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons lot located at 2001 Commercial Street (cross street is Rural Avenue.) A shuttle will be available to take you from the parking lot to the Welcome Tent at Fairmount City Park where you will check-in and receive your tour guide. There is also free parking along Rural Avenue and neighboring streets. A bus stop is conveniently located at the corner of Commercial Street and Rural Avenue as well.
There will be the possibility of food trucks located at Fairmount City Park to purchase lunch or a snack. There are nearby picnic tables and grassy areas to spread a blanket, as well as public bathrooms.
