WalkArlington presents Walking Palooza. Walk a day in our shoes and explore urban design, planning and placemaking in National Landing.
Take a walk with us and learn about the fast-growing home of Amazon’s HQ2, National Landing. There are so many projects underway—new parks, new art, new roadways, new structures. It’s hard to keep track!
Using an informal walking talk show format, WalkArlington will bring together neighborhood leaders and County staff to share their hopes and dreams for the neighborhood’s future. They’ll also educate us on “invisible design”: features of our built environment that we may not notice, but that have a tremendous influence on our experience of a place. We’ll also learn about some fascinating neighborhood history.
This is a one-way walk that will start at the Crystal City Metro Station and end at the Pentagon City Metro Station.
Getting There
National Landing (which refers to the neighborhoods of Crystal City, Pentagon City, and Pentagon Row) is accessible by Metrorail, Metrobus, ART bus, Metroway, Capital Bikeshare, and major trails. Visit CarFreeAtoZ for trip planning information.
