I Expect Progress presents the 2022 Juneteenth Gala The Wingate by Wyndham Chesapeake hotel is newly renovated to make your trip easier. Conveniently located off I-64 and just a short drive from Norfolk, our hotel near Norfolk International Airport (ORF) puts the beauty of Chesapeake Bay at your doorstep. Following in the footsteps of Juneteenth All White Affair in 2020, this year’s event will reprise the high standard of excellence for décor, entertainment, cuisine, elegance, and ambience. Mingle with your guests and fellow IEP supporters dressed in their most stylish formal wear as they dine on Southern Style buffet dinner, with a cash bar open for cocktails and responsible drinking throughout the evening. Roving photographers will snap your picture, and you can stop by the Photo Station (red carpet) for a more formal pose, photographed by our dedicated cameraman. The 360 booth will be in placed and provided by Swanns 360 Experience. Local Vendors will be stationed in the foyer with must have items and services available for purchase. And, of course, enjoy the most exciting part of the evening - the live entertainment and celebrations. Guest Speakers will speak on their life journey dealing with learning disabilities and how they overcame. Our two amazing 2022 graduates will be presented with a financial scholarship to assit with their next journey to college.
