Many organizations around San Diego have uniquely adapted to the required changes to ensure holiday happenings remain engaging and fun. Liberty Station provides San Diegans with a one-stop shop for socially distanced festive events, outdoor exercise and expansive food options. Read more about their offerings below: Menorah Lighting Liberty Station, in partnership with The Chabads of Downtown San Diego and Pacific Beach, is hosting an outdoor, public menorah lighting to commemorate the first night of Hanukkah on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. This menorah lighting will also feature a Cyr Wheel Acrobat and a Fire Dancer Show. Salute the Season Art Walk Sparking holiday spirit, Liberty Station is temporarily home to 12 outdoor art installations inspired by the “Twelve Days of Christmas” carol. Guests are encouraged to venture through a self-guided tour and snap a photo with their favorite piece. If shared on social media with #SaluteTheSeason, visitors will be entered into a raffle to win a Zoom chat with Santa. This installation is free and will be up until Sunday, Jan. 10. Holiday Tree Liberty Station’s traditional 88-foot-tall holiday tree was officially lit on Thanksgiving Day. Located directly behind Stone Brewing, the festive tree is fully decorated with beautiful ornaments and is open for visitors and photo-ops. A great spot to capture content for holiday cards or social media. Restaurant Takeout and Delivery Supporting local restaurants and their staff is essential during this time.
