Description
Doggo is someone's perfect companion.
Doggo was dumped on the side of the road last August (2021). She was ill and had a high parasite load. We took her to the vet for care and she recovered.
Overtime we realized that she had a very high pray drive. She went after our ducks, who were able to escape. Got ahold of a chicken, that we were able to rescue from her.
We have her kept in a fenced area, she can climb the fence. We put her on a dog line, she's broken it several times. She has killed and ate a guinea bird, and mortally injured another that managed to fly into the dog yard. Last week she broke her lead again and the first thing she tried to do was get under the fence gate to go after the guineas again.
Today a chicken got under the gate. Luckily, though the chicken is badly injured I've been able to save her so far.
Doggo is the sweetest, loyalist dog in the world. She is playful and trains quickly. She learned sit and lay down in one session. If I could keep her I would. I have tried.
We never planned on doggo being a part of our family, but we've done our best to make it work, but she is a danger to our livestock. I worry she'll kill one of the babies of our goats or cow.
I've had her fully vaccinated and spayed. She's good with our cats and other dog and young children (3 and 7). She is kennel trained. And leash trained.
She's an all around perfect family dog for someone without a farm/ livestock. She's about a year old.
She must be gone by Monday. There are no shelters with space in my area, and I have limited other options. I've done all I can do, but she's a genuine risk to my livestock.
