HOBOKEN, NJ — Sometimes a hard-luck dog catches a break. The Liberty Humane Society – which serves Hoboken and Jersey City – recently shared a tail-wagging update on Dutchess, a dog who came to their shelter with a terrible skin condition. The pooch was infected, emaciated and "incredibly unhappy" when she first set foot in the shelter. But after an intense care regimen that took several months, Dutchess has a whole new lease on life, Liberty Humane staff reported. Duchess recently found a new home with a loving family, a "happy tail" all around, the shelter stated.
