The laughter is coming to Johnson City when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at Tap House 66 on Thursday, June 23. The show starts at 7 p.m., and there's a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 6:30. Come out and enjoy the show. About the comedians: Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske, and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcast, On the Mic with Mike Peters. Becky Wiggins is a comedian in Rome, N.Y. She’s a regular at the Uptown Theater and the Hub in Utica and runs the open mic at Chris’ Grub and Pub in Rome. A realtor in her daily life, Wiggins is always good for a laugh on any stage she touches. Josh Wallenstein, a Binghamton native, has been performing stand-up comedy since 2018. While living in California, Josh performed at Levity Live, Ventura Harbor Comedy Club and Flappers Comedy Club. He’s also performed at the Broadway Comedy Club in New York City and the Cider Mill Stage in Endicott. Josh was active in the theatre department at Binghamton High School and will star in the play “Buyer & Cellar” in April 2022. He works as a teaching assistant at a local elementary school and is currently pursuing his teaching certification. Steve Wrigley is a New Zealand comedian based in Rochester. Well established outside of the United States, Wrigley has appeared on several TV shows – 7Days to AotearoHa, the Comedy Gala, After Hours and World Famous with Ben & Steve with Ben Hurley. Wrigley’s become a regular face around New York since relocating, working regularly anywhere there’s a mic and a stage.
