Overview: Broadmoor Golf Club is a private 18-hole golf club located in Seattle, Washington. Broadmoor was founded in 1924 and opened for play in 1927. Responsibilities: • The horticulturist manages all parking lots and all landscape gardens on the golf course and around the clubhouse • Designs, installs, and maintains all perennial and annual landscapes • Supervises and collaborates with groundskeepers in routine maintenance of all landscapes • Applies fertilizer and pesticides to plants in landscaping when necessary • Record all chemical applications of landscapes • Manages and operates within the golf course horticulture budget • Trims and prunes all hedges, trees, and shrubs when necessary • Air sweeps all parking lots, asphalt and gravel areas around the clubhouse and golf course • Performs all necessary watering to all plant materials on the golf course and around the clubhouse • Performs other aspects of golf course maintenance when needed • Supervise landscape groundskeepers and assistant horticulturist Qualifications: • Must have hands-on-experience as a landscape professional or gardener • Knowledge of plant and weed identification • Must possess or be able to obtain WSDA Pesticide License Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs.; stand or walk often; complete repetitive tasks Compensation: Wage dependent on experience. The Club will provide lunches and uniforms. Reports To: Chief of Agronomy and the Golf Course Superintendent. Available: Immediately
