HOBOKEN, NJ — Joseph "Jojo" Petruzzelli, an eighth grader in Hoboken, has been collecting sneakers since he was 11, and selling some "rare kicks" online. Now he will sell his 85-pair collection at his pop-up shop at 1200 Washington St. through Wednesday.
The money will benefit the Jubilee Center, where Hoboken kids can get homework help, a low-cost summer camp, and much more.
"He's been part of the sneaker world since he was 11," explained a spokeswoman this week. "The sneaker culture is following collaborations, athletes' shoes, new sneaker drops. Some of these shoes are limited edition."
Jojo has been selling the sneakers as part of his online business, Elitekickz.
The Elitekickz Popup Shop will sell its wares from this Saturday through Wednesday, July 29 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The shop is located at 1200 Washington Street, at the corner of 12th and Washington.
