We are currently searching for those who are interested in giving back to our patients and families in Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean Counties!  Volunteer Opportunities Include: *Office Volunteers – Assist with answering and making phone calls, sending out mailings, filing and faxing and more at our Toms River Office! We are open Monday through Friday, 9 am – 4pm. *Direct Patient Care Volunteers- Visit patients (and families) at home, or in a long-term care facility (if it is safe to do so). Provide a hand to hold and a supportive presence, read, play games, reminisce, watch a movie, create an art project, and more! *Veteran To Veteran Volunteers - Connecting Veterans to our Veteran patients to provide companionship and support. Assist with Veteran Pinning Ceremonies, Memorials and other Special Events. Educate and Assist Staff in Veteran End of Life Care. *Music Volunteers – Play a small instrument or sing, for patients who live at home or in a long-term care facility (if it is safe to do so). *Pet Therapy Volunteers - Visit patients (and families) at home, or in a long[1]term care facility (if it is safe to do so) with your certified pet therapy animal, to provide some furry love and a calming presence! We offer you : *Flexible Assignments – Volunteer near your home *Free and Convenient Orientation that fits your schedule Other Requirements – Volunteers must be COVID 19 vaccinated, have reliable transportation to visit patients or the Holisticare Hospice office, be able to commit to 6 months of volunteering, be able to show that you’ve had a recent physical, history of a MMR titer/vaccine and a tuberculosis test.
