HOBOKEN, NJ — A 10-year-old Hoboken fencer is racking up some big wins and making his hometown proud. Hoboken resident Devyn Anthony, who trains at the Jersey City-based Cobra Fencing Club, captured a gold medal at the New Jersey Fencing Alliance regional tournament last week. Anthony has also earned other recent wins, including: Gold medal at the Cobra Fencing Challenge in the Meadowlands Exposition CenterSilver medal at the Fairfax, Virginia youth fencing tournamentBronze medal at the Boston Fencing Club tournament5th place finish in the National Fencing ChampionshipsGold medal at the Mission Fencer Center tournament in Long IslandAnthony is currently ranked third in the country for his age group, Y10, (ten and under) and weapon, which is the saber.
