Press release from the South Bend Community School Corporation: March 21, 2022 Two public meetings set to gather feedback from local stakeholders The South Bend Community School Corporation (SBCSC) and Fanning Howey, an architecture, interiors, and engineering firm specializing in learning environments, are seeking public input regarding the district's facilities master plan. Guests are invited to provide feedback and ideas about topics such as magnet options, Career and Technical Education, special education, fine arts, athletics, and other curricula via an online questionnaire. The questionnaire will be available until Saturday, April 2, 2022. "The input of our stakeholders is crucial to the success of this endeavor," said Fowler. "This is a vital step toward a more successful district, and we cannot proceed without careful consideration of the current culture—where we are now, where we belong, and how we can enhance and redesign our environment for the success of our students, teachers, families, and the entire South Bend community." Changes regarding district facilities consider four components: Educational Framework Demographics Conditions Funding (30-minute presentation followed by a community discussion) Thursday, May 5, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Charles Black Community Center 3419 W.
