JERSEY CITY, NJ — The #15-seeded St. Peter's University men's basketball team strutted over the #3 Purdue Boilermakers Friday night in the third round of the NCAA championships, winning 67-64.
This is the first time in history that a #15-seeded team has made it to the Elite 8.
And the team from Jersey City has been having a little fun along the way with its new star status.
This week, point guard Doug Edert scored an endorsement from Buffalo Wild Wings, the entire team wolfed down some steaks before heading to Philly, and there were even fans wearing Edert's trademark 'stashe in the stands.
