Audio CD I have previously read a couple of Hamish Macbeth mysteries by M.C. Beaton. I listened to this one on a recent road trip. I really enjoyed listening to it. Hamish Macbeth is a Police Sergeant in a small, quaint village in the Scottish Highlands, Lochdubh. A new Constable (police officer) is assigned to work under him in his quaint village. Her name is Josie McSween and she has a massive crush on Hamish. She tries her hardest to get Hamish to notice her romantically. When a local young woman with a reputation for philandering/flirting is murdered Josie thinks it could be the perfect opportunity to get closer to Hamish. Will Hamish finally tie the knot or is Josie McSween hiding something? I would give this 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend it, especially to those who enjoy cozy mysteries.
