Same Day: Woman Arrested In La Grange, Western Springs

LA GRANGE, IL – An Oswego woman was arrested in La Grange and then Western Springs on the same day for the same crime, authorities said. Shortly after noon March 18, La Grange police were called about shoplifting at Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road. They arrested Miranda Hidalgo, 25, on a retail theft charge. She was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing identification. About six hours later, Hidalgo was charged with two counts of retail theft in neighboring Western Springs. Police said she stole merchandise from both Mariano's and Walgreens, both at 4700 Gilbert Ave.
