HOBOKEN — Hoboken resident Mary Ann Farley, a singer/songwriter, has released a new song that she says is "music for those heartbroken about the U.S. right now, especially those who've lost loved ones. This is my love letter to America, and my eulogy for my late mom." Hoboken is featured at the end of the video. The song, "My Country," was recorded at Nine Lives Studio in Jersey City with Nicola Stemmer. In her description of the video, Farley wrote, "The song is about loss and all that is going on in America right now. But the video is my love letter to the country, and a reminder that we have so much more to lose." Farley has lived in Hoboken for almost 30 years. She said her mom died in 2018, and her father died just this past August. They both became ill around the same time, which was a struggle. Facebook views of Farley's "love letter" had surpassed 58,000 before Election Day. Watch and listen to it here: You can contact Farley for more information at [email protected]. Got news?
