PHOENIX, AZ — A man accused of serial bank robbery and dubbed the "Razzmatazz Robber" was arrested Wednesday, according to the Phoenix branch of the FBI. Andres Murrietta, 41, was arrested following a robbery at SunWest Credit Union in Mesa, the FBI said. Murrietta was arrested on suspicion of four counts of bank robbery, according to a criminal complaint. Murrietta is accused of robbing four banks in Mesa, Gilbert and Chandler between Nov. 1, 2021 and Wednesday, the FBI said. Murrietta got his nickname from the bright pink car he's suspected of using to flee the robberies, the same color as the Crayola crayon named "razzmatazz," the FBI said. Each time he robbed a bank, Murrietta is accused of showing a bank worker a note demanding money and providing a paper bag in which to put the money, according to the FBI.
