Hi I am a active Professional Metal Rock Vocalist performer looking to do weekly shows around Texas with a pro band for covers and/or originals. Hello- we are seeking a female harmony singer for an all-acoustic band (many acoustical genres contained therein :), to accompany a very good lead female vocal. The band uses violin, bass, and two acoustic guitarists as well. We have a monthly residency at a retirement home in the Lake Travis area, and rehearse in that area as well. The ability and/or willingness to play some hand percussion would also be a great asset, but not necessary. If possible, send along a singing sample/example to facilitate things (since I have to have the lead singer check all that out before I can invite for a meeting :). Solo, with my meager guitar and bass skills, the tracks tend to have a slightly hard Joy Division or The Cure sort of feel. I am not a drummer, so what I have tracked with percussion and synth samples was done in Ableton Live. Just know things sound a tad industrial right now. And while there's a bit of a dark "vibe" currently, sound-wise it could just as likely end up more akin Jane's Addiction or even REM. I am staying with a friend in Riverside for the time being, and it may be a long while before I can have my piano shipped down to me. Looking for a band that plays good hard rock 90s 2000s songs, Alice in Chains, Bush, Seether, Nirvana, Godsmack, and many more, very open range, I even like stuff like matchbox 20, I almost like any pop/alt rock and anything that would create a fun gig once a month or so. Our sound is a mix of grunge, metal, and stoner rock in the vein of Black Sabbath, Alice In Chains, Type O Negative, Pink Floyd, etc… Ideally we’d like someone with vocal capabilities to deliver some killer harmonies on our jams. And someone who enjoys writing, we want to collaborate! We are in our mid twenties if it matters to you. We have our own practice space and jam once a week.
