SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Following the successful pop-up voting program in the 2018 midterm election cycle, the Orange County Registrar of Voters has released the pop-up voting schedule between now and the March 3, 2020, Presidential Primary Election. All registered voters can hand in their ballot at an easy to find DropBox, or at a handy Vote Center, where all of your questions can be answered, the Registrar of Voters has said. Sites for the voting centers are across the county, from Buena Park to San Clemente, and the easily found ballot drop boxes make voting more accessible than ever. Pop-up voting provides a full mobile Vote Center solution to bring voting to high-traffic locations for a single day, according to Neal Kelley, Registrar of Voters. According to Kelley, the new way to vote is all about convenience and choices. Kelley and his team are committed to ensuring that voting and elections are conducted openly and transparently "with integrity that increases the public's trust and confidence in elections in Orange County," he said. "Through pop-up voting, voting opportunities will be available at locations that are familiar to voters and in areas that benefit from an additional in-person voting location." What is a Vote Center? Unlike traditional in-person options for voting, Vote Centers allow you to not only vote, but to solve voter registration issues, register to vote, get a replacement ballot, and get general assistance for 11 days, not just one, according to Kelley. At the center, electronic check-in is more secure and speeds up the process, saving all voters valuable time.
