When you decide to try out for a band consider it a job interview, show up on time show up prepared and show up ready to work, if you can’t make it be considerate and let the band know that something came up and you would like to reschedule, never leave a band waiting if you don’t plan on showing up, please take in consideration that the band has put aside their personal family time to make time for you, thanks! very decent PDP kit travels with me wherever I go. I'm good in the pocket and play well with others; being a frontman/guitar for a lot of years gives me a great feel for pace and dynamics. I may not be the most technically proficient thumper in town, but I have an excellent feel and know when and how to achieve liftoff! Guitarist/drummer looking to jam and eventually start a band. I'm 38. I've been playing guitar for about 20 years and drums for 6. Open to doing (black/sludge) metal, trip hop, ambient, post-punk, psychedelic and experimental stuff. Please have your own transportation, gear, and life in order. Please have samples of your playing to share. Like you can even record your self with your smart phone. Just something, the bar is low. Happy to rehearse & jam just about anytime, but would prefer gigs be paid & reasonably local... if I'm gonna be hauling these tubs around :]I’m a Southern poet, percussionist, and trumpet player. I’m influenced by Tom Waits, Dr. John, Col. Bruce Hampton, and Smoke. I’m looking for found percussion, kazoos, ukuleles, tubas, and cloggers. A guitar would be nice as well. I can’t sing, but I will unless someone stops me. I want to write, perform, and record original music. I’m old and have a day job, so this is strictly fun for me.
