I'm good in the pocket and play well with others; being a frontman/guitar for a lot of years gives me a great feel for pace and dynamics. I may not be the most technically proficient thumper in town, but I have an excellent feel and know when and how to achieve liftoff! I'm also an excellent harmonies/backup singer and have no problem doing both at once. I can often just craft harmonies by ear, on-the-fly, with a clarion high-and-lonesome sound. Happy to rehearse & jam just about anytime, but would prefer gigs be paid & reasonably local... if I'm gonna be hauling these tubs around :]I’m a Southern poet, percussionist, and trumpet player. I’m influenced by Tom Waits, Dr. John, Col. Bruce Hampton, and Smoke. I’m looking for found percussion, kazoos, ukuleles, tubas, and cloggers. A guitar would be nice as well. I can’t sing, but I will unless someone stops me. If you're younger than 45-50 you probably won't fit in. Qualifications are: dependable, honest, easy going, drug free, sober and drama free. Don't get me wrong, we drink a few beers and enjoy laughs but keep it within limits.
