ELECTRICIAN Location: Carson, CA 90746 Work Schedule: Part-Time Pay Scale: $22.00 per hour | Entry Level $26.00 per hour | Associate / 5 years’ experience $32.00 per hour | Experienced / over 7 years’ experience Electrician position installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, controls equipment, and fixtures safely and effectively performs diagnostic testing and repairs on extensive electrical systems, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems in order to ensure continuous operation of production equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Measuring, cutting, and bending wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools • Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local state and city codes • Performing semiskilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment • Performs general maintenance duties along with the Maintenance staff as well as project cleaning duties as instructed by supervisor • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous and whether discontinued use should be considered immediately by performing repairs all equipment and/or systems • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials • Following state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code • Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, sign test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and corrects the problem • Work independently with minimal supervision and while maintaining adherence to project deadlines • Follow all internal and external safety policies • Additional duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor Skills/Knowledge/Abilities • One year certificate from college or technical school plus three to five years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Previous electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities; Previous mechanical experience with troubleshooting capabilities • Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential. Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed
