PROVIDENCE, RI — A Cranston, Rhode Island man was killed in a crash on Route 10 South, Rhode Island State Police reported Friday. Roberto Pichardo Mello, 22, died after his vehicle hit a concrete barrier and rolled over. The crash happened just before 3:30 a.m. on Friday near the Route 6 overpass in Providence. Mello was driving in the right lane when his vehicle veered off the road, hitting a barrier and rolling over, police said.
