Small, family-oriented catering hall located at the intersection of Ridgewood, Bushwick, Ocean Hill and East and Bed-Stuy, seeks energetic, physically fit, highly motivated Jack or Jill of All Trades for 1-3 shifts per weekend. Potential shifts: FRIDAY Start time 8-9pm - End time 1-2am SATURDAY AFTERNOON Start time 2pm End time 6pm SATURDAY EVENING Start time 9-10pm End time 2-3am SUNDAY Start time 6-7pm End time 12-1am + Occasional weekdays and Saturday afternoons. Shift duties consists of: - Preparation of decoration and flower vases for next event (30 minutes) - Bussing tables during event (1-2 hours) - Washing chargers, glasses during event - Clean-up after event (1-2 hours) - Set-up for next event (1-2 hours) Position requirements: - Willing and able to work hard - Physically fit and able to move quickly for long hours - non-smoker - able to lift and walk with 30 pounds up and down stairs - attention to detail - understand and follow intricate instructions in written & spoken English; communicate in English - ability to work late night - ability to work with minimal supervision - an artistic eye is useful for event set-ups - ability to learn names and colors of decorative items including flowers, vases, runners, bows, etc. *Cell phones not permitted during work hours.
