PROVIDENCE, RI — Gov. Gina Raimondo is expected to announce her final decision about reopening Rhode Island schools during Monday afternoon's news conference. Last week, the governor said she anticipated giving the schools the green light to resume in-person classes. "Right now, as we stand here, it seems highly unlikely that I would say 'no' [to in-classroom learning next week]," Raimondo said Aug. 24.
