General Construction laborer for Mechanical Contractor

An Albuquerque based mechanical and plumbing contractor has a position available for a general laborer. Experience in the construction or other physically demanding industries preferred. Job duties would include: • Working with plumbers to assist in hand trenching and back filling • Material handling and gathering • Working with HVAC installers to install ductwork and equipment • Sealing ductwork • General help in the fabrication shop • Any other tasks as need to assist in the fabrication of HVAC and plumbing systems. Qualified candidates will: • Have dependable transportation • Ability to read and follow directions • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks daily • Be drug/alcohol free • Motivation to perform and move up the skill ladder • Have consistent work attendance • Willingness to participate in different task daily • Construction experience is a plus This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start out at entry level and develop their skills and become licensed in a trade. Paid Schooling through the apprentice program for plumbing or HVAC license may be provided to the right candidate who shows a willingness to perform, learn and grow with the company.
