Please click to apply: SEA's Chicago office is growing! Evidence Technician and warehouse responsibilities will comprise approximately 90% of the role. We are seeking an Evidence Technician who will also cross-train and assist our Project Coordinator team during coverage needs. Must be willing to learn both front office and warehouse responsibilities. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Effectively and efficiently process evidence upon intake to maintain the chain of custody including data entry into the evidence database Act as liaison with investigators, administrators, and managers to coordinate evidence exchanges, exams, and disposals. Work with multiple levels of management, clients, and other employees within the organization to appropriately handle and communicate confidential information Capability to take Initiative and complete tasks with limited supervision Ensure proper handling and packaging of evidence to prevent spoliation Conduct periodic audits of property inventory Verify evidence items against investigator tags to ensure accuracy Maintain the storage area by keeping the area clean, free of trash and debris and organized Assist with office facility management needs Responsible for entering new projects, periodic phone coverage and document proofreading and letter composition Uploading images to electronic files Excellent verbal and written client communications. Assists with maintaining office files and databases Regular and predictable physical presence in the office Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to supporting front office staff Position Requirements: High school diploma required Associate degree highly preferred High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel; PowerPoint) and Outlook A minimum of two (2) years of related management, warehouse and/or shipping experience A minimum of five (5) years of professional office experience Prior military experience an asset Clean driving record required Demonstrated strong computer and critical thinking skills Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 100 lbs Ability to maneuver large or heavy items with equipment assistance Ability to drive and fly to site locations to retrieve evidence as needed Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients Ability to maneuver around the office Ability to use a computer/keyboard EEO-M/F/Disabled/Vets FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
