Job Summary: The Laborer Foreman may perform and/or oversee a variety of functions, such as manual digging, spreading, and leveling of dirt and other materials with a shovel or similar tools. Insures cleanliness of tools, equipment, materials, and work areas. Performs & supervises a variety of routine, non-machine tasks, such as installing and removing forms, filling expansion joints, etc. May use some machinery such as concrete saw, rebar saw, and other power tools. Will be transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completion. He or she also reinforces Massman’s Incident & Injury Free Initiative along with our corporate mission and vision statement in the daily performance of their work. Responsibilities and Duties: The Laborer Foreman should be able to: Follow specific directions; perform a variety of duties which may often change; work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure or protocol; physically stand or walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment; and have the visual and hearing capacity to perform work without harm. Must be able to endure heat index exposure at or about 112̊F. Must work well with others, and perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the supervisor. Experience preferred.
