JOB DESCRIPTION: Owl Creek Ranch is looking for 1-2 ranch hands for the 2022 season. This is a seasonal labor position; this is not a riding or wrangling position! START: April/May END: Sep/Oct HOURS: 40hr/week, no overtime, days and hours can be flexible PAY AND BENNEFITS: $15-28/hour DOE, no medical, no housing, pasture board allowed for one horse. REQUIREMENTS: · 16yrs or older · Clean valid driver’s license · No felons and must pass background check · Must speak English · Must be able to lift 65 or more pounds repetitively PREFFERED EXPERIENCE: · Horse, livestock, and other animal experience · Basic hand and power tool knowledge · Equipment operation (4-wheeler, side by side, lawn mower, trucks, tractors, skid steer, mini-ex, hay equipment, etc.) · Trailer hauling · Automotive and heavy machinery mechanic skills · Carpentry/building skills · Welding · Preferential hiring for veterans/first responders EXPECTATIONS: · Punctual · Attentive to detail · Self-starting · Honest · Hard working · Working in inclement weather · Appropriate work attire · Must work well with others DUTIES: · Cleaning animal stalls/pens/yards- yes poop (birds, horses, goats, etc.) · Feed and watering · Fencing · Heavy equipment operations · Irrigating · Haying · Landscaping · Some carpentry/welding Please send resume and references to Joshua Snyder.
