Bassist not looking for: A band that does not understand the concept of dynamics (drummers/guitarist). A band that plays the same material as all the other garage bands in town with their easy 3 chord wonders like Skynyrd, GFR, Heart, Stones, Who, etc. A band that practices once a week over the same mistakes every time. A band that allows fellow musicians to come to practice to learn their parts. A band that fails to stop in the middle of a song to correct something. A drummer that plays loud at all times then bitches he can’t hear the band. A drummer that does not know how to tune their drums. A guitar player that turns up their volume to “get the sound” with 10,000 pedals in from of them. A guitar player that points his cabinet away from himself because it’s too loud. A vocalist that does not know how to handle a microphone / feedback and does not understand the concept of closeup verses back-off with specific vocal volumes and frequencies. A band that does not have vocal practice with at least one chordal instrument separate from band practice. A band that is afraid to speak up to each other because somebodies feeling may get hurt. A band that has family members in it. (This is a possibility in some rare cases) Band members that don’t listen to the overall sound while playing but instead only listens to themselves. Band members that don't want to be challenged musically. Other than that, hey I’m available.
