Job Summary: Responsible for using parts (bowls, bars and tape) to produce vanity tops. Reads work orders, positions parts and examines for correct fit, reports errors to supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Set-Up Tech: Study and interpret work order. Clean and prepare the mold. Ensure all tools needed are available and in working order. Interpret measurements, verify specifications and parts are ready. Assemble parts, ensure all parts are fitted and clayed in properly. Alter dimensions to fit specifications. Make sure mold is ready for next step (Spraying). Finishing Tech: Pull parts to be finished from grinding area and place on finishing box. Check measurements, defects, scratches, repair as necessary. Using wax compound and buffer finish to a streak free luster move top down finishing conveyor to final inspection and packaging area. Mark boxes with customer delivery information to include work order number and purchase order number. Move finished product to warehouse. Eliminate production of defective parts and products. Clean equipment and conveyor. One year of verifiable production experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Most work is performed on the assembly area in a typical manufacturing setting.
