This one year old dog was obtained from a shelter a few weeks ago with the direction of 'have a Vet check him out' After two tests, it was confirmed that he has Heartworm. The shelter has stated he will be put down if returned. The real issue is that the family owner has been confirmed to be allergic to him (already has asthma) and so a new home MUST be found. Multiple Vet appointments have been done and the first month of Heartworm treatment has been purchased. An Xray shows the heart is not inflamed at this point, but will need to continue the treatment for the next few months. This is a puppy at heart - loves people, outdoors and chewing/tearing up anything near him. At night, a blanket is put down, but during the day, he rips it apart. If you or someone you know would be willing to take on and care for this dog, I'm sure he'll be fine and healthy after a few months of treatment. Asking $500 OBO.
