The Diesel/Chassis mechanic will perform all types of truck/chassis repairs including inspections and oil changes, checking tires and brakes, daily maintenance of vehicles. Job Responsibilities and accountability: •Help mechanic perform maintenance and repairs such as oil changes, check tires and brakes, grease units, Perform FHWA and BIT inspections. •Assists mechanic with electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and lights. Test drives vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly. •Assist in major projects •Keep the area clean and safe •Perform any other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: •Mechanical background. •2+ years Mechanic experience required •Chassis Mechanic experience preferred •Welding Experience preferred •Valid Driver’s License. •Ability to work outside in all types of weather •Must be willing to work 12-8:30 pm •Capable of lifting 50lbs with or without assistance •Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
