The UVA Chapter of the Virginia Women’s Network Spring Program will host a panel discussion on mentor-mentee relationships.
8:00-8:30 am Informal Networking
8:30-10:00 am Panel Discussion
The mentor-mentee relationship provides learning opportunities for both participants. While much has been written about mentoring, the research around being a mentee is not as strong. Join us for a conversation with a panel of mentors (experienced University leaders) and mentees (emerging University leaders) as we explore the characteristics and qualities that lead to a successful mentoring relationship. Panelists will provide their personal and professional experiences, discuss formal and informal interactions, and address topics like finding a mentor, working with a mentee, and goals for the partnership. A lively, engaging conversation with a group of UVA colleagues from across Grounds.
