Twenty years ago, being a Creator wasn’t a thing… Now it’s a legitimate career. YouTube created the Creator Economy with its Partner Program back in 2007. Fast forward 15 yrs. it now supports 2M creators and about 400k FT jobs. YouTube paid $30B to Creators, artists and media companies over the last three years; And contributed over $20B to the U.S. GDP in 2020 alone, up 23% from 2019 according to a study by Oxford Economics.
