Join us for a night of networking as we reconvene Maryland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem in Southern Maryland to provide information on business resources and funding. Meet a diverse group of Southern Maryland innovators and network with resource partners from the region. TEDCO Talks Hosted by: Troy LeMaile-Stovall, TEDCO As the CEO of TEDCO, Troy leads the organization’s mission to support economic development through the cultivation of an inclusive entrepreneurial innovation ecosystem. Troy’s professional experience over the last two decades includes highly visible leadership positions in investment management, telecommunications, information/communication technology, management consulting, and higher education, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). He also founded several entrepreneurial ventures, including the management consulting firms LeMaile-Stovall LLC and GTMS Partners, LLC, and was a co-founder of investment firm GulfSouth Partners. A recognized expert on entrepreneurship, venture capital, higher education administration, and economic development, Troy is a prolific speaker and author on these topics. He earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University, as well as a master’s in computer science from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard University. Guest Speaker: Ellen Flowers-Fields, Associate Vice-President for Continuing Education and Workforce Development, College of Southern Maryland Ellen Flowers-Fields serves as Associate Vice-President for Continuing Education and Workforce Development at the College of Southern Maryland. She is responsible for the oversight of all areas of the non-credit economic and community development programming including the Center for Trades and Energy Training, Maryland Center for Environmental Training, the Workforce Center, the SBDC, the Non-Profit Institute, the Transportation Center and adult basic education. Ellen has over 25 years of progressive professional experience in the field of workforce development and human capital management. Her diverse background includes supporting entrepreneurship and small business development efforts, acquisition, project management and implementation of various federal, state and local programs that address community economic development needs. Throughout her career she has acquired and managed over $100 million dollars in support of various economic and community development initiatives.
