The Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club is seeking to fill a seasonal position in the grounds department (working maintenance on the golf course). No prior experience is necessary, but preference will be given to any individuals with golf/landscaping related experience. A brief description of the job duties are things such as, but not limited to: raking bunkers, walk mowing greens/tees, blowing leaves, string trimming, course setup, gardening maintenance and several other day-to-day jobs. Our goal here is to provide the membership with the best possible golf course we can. There are a few requirements I have in order to hire. 1. Must be able to show up to work early (5:00 am is the earliest we typically start/currently 7 am) ON-TIME. 2. Show up on your scheduled work days. 3. Must be able to respect and get along well with staff and membership. We have a great staff here, and I would really like to add another individual to the team who enjoys working with others, being outside, and learning a variety of skills. The hours are approximately 40 per week (some overtime is available). This is a physical job, and anyone interested in position should expect to be someone who likes working outside, which makes the days go by quickly here. We are seeking someone who could commit to working between now through December. Another item of note, is that we do work on the weekends. However, the weekends are short shifts. We like to call them: “Mow and Go’s” because we come in, setup the golf course, and then leave. Normally, they are 3.5 to 4 hours and that is it. I alternate the schedule so everyone is aware which weekends you are on or off. We are a flexible work environment, and can allow days off if advanced notice is given.
