Budding Artists is a fundraiser for Kiwanis Club of Rockford featuring a live auction of art created by talented high school students. Celebrate and support young, Budding Artists, by attending this gala event that raises money for the Kiwanis Club of Rockford and the talented Rockford area high school students who created artwork that will be auctioned off live the night of the event. Presenting Sponsor: Midland Wealth Management The gala starts at 5:30 for a social hour and live music, followed by a sit down dinner and the live auction. Cash bar. (Dinner entree : Chicken Vesuvio) Cost: $50 per person, general seating Students are from 10 participating high schools: Rockford Public Schools: East, Guildford, Auburn, Jefferson, Roosevelt; Boylan Catholic HS, Rockford Lutheran HS, Chistian Life Schools, Keith Country Day School, Rockford Christian Schools. The art students get to keep 50% of the sale price of their piece of artwork with the rest going to Kiwanis Club of Rockford, which in turn gets distributed to community organizations that support children.
