The Fifth-Ever Broke In New York Clothing Swap at the brand-new state-of-the-art mixology bar, Nina's at Nomo Soho! You either want a new wardrobe, are trying to declutter, or maybe both. We get it. We've been there. And we have curated our personal styles, not by frantic shopping, but by giving secondhand clothing new life! We want you to feel more confident with your personal style, all while reducing waste and excess spending. We also want local women in need to feel this as well, which is why all leftover items at the end of the event will be donated to Julianne's local women's shelter, as per the tradition. WHO'S RUNNING THE EVENT? Julianne, creator of @howtobebrokeinnewyork on Instagram, is known as New York's clothing swap host. She is also a third-year law student in New York and finds ways to help her fellow New Yorkers live their best life #OnABudget while also giving back to their local communities. The swap is grateful to be held at the beautiful, locally-owned, and brand-new Nina's, a bar/gallery space like you've never seen before! You have likely walked by the beautiful flower walls of the NoMo SoMo Hotel and dreamed of coming inside for a drink, a dinner, or a night stay. We cannot wait to welcome you! GOODIES, GIVEAWAYS, AND SPONSORS TO COME! TICKET TYPES: There are two main types of tickets for the clothing swap. 1) General Admission. We keep the price accessible to all! Please select the time period you believe you'd attend the swap, either between 12-1:45 or 1:45-3:30. This way we can keep traffic flowing and not feel too congested during a pandemic! 2) VIP Admission. One of the amazing perks of the location is access to the incredible bar at Nina's. For the first time ever, we are combining the two #BrokeInNewYork events you've come to love: the clothing swap AND a happy hour! The ticket includes swap entry as well as your first drink from our exclusive #BrokeInNewYork happy hour menu, with tax and gratuity included, which will end around 5pm. Tickets are limited so be sure to purchase yours ASAP. 1. ACCEPTABLE ITEMS TO BRING: clothing, shoes, accessories, and unopened beauty products. Don't bring things you wouldn't give to your BFF. If it's ripped, stained, stretched, or worn out, or if the beauty products are opened, they are not allowed at the event and must be sent home with you. Please see the quality guide for more help. 2. There is no minimum amount of items to bring or maximum amount to leave with, just be mindful of one another and, above all else, be kind, courteous, and generous with your fellow swapper. 3. Guests must be fully vaccinated to attend.
