TO APPLY: Purpose: Provides efficient loading and unloading of outbound and inbound shipments; helps will call customers; plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory. Key Result Areas: Inventory Management -Receives and verifies in bound shipments. -Receives and verifies in bound interoffice shipments. -Inputs inventory adjustments into computer accurately. -Responsible for triple count and job completer program. Purchasing -Orders board and materials from vendors so inventory levels are appropriate for business needs. -Places interoffice orders with supplying yard. -Maintains min/max & NS records for yard. Loading/Unloading -Unloads inbound trucks/rail cars. -Cuts and stages outbound orders prior to crew’s return. -Gathers and stages outbound accessory orders. -Helps will call customers load orders. -Handles board and materials properly to limit accidents and damages. Warehouse/Yard Safety & Cleanliness -Responsible for overall yard and warehouse cleanliness. -Ensures that warehouse is appropriately laid out for maximum efficiency and has correct product identification. -Maintains forklift in good working order. Tool Repair/Rental Tools -Restocks and prices retail tool area. -Keeps retail tool area clean and attractive. -Cleans and repairs automatic taping tools; maintains clean work area. Sales -Inputs orders in order entry system. Dispatch -Checks out difficult job sites prior to stocking. -Schedules and dispatches crews to job site. -Ensures adequate staffing levels are set and maintained. -Maintain stocker payroll daily. Skills And Experience: -Forklift driver certification with six months experience preferred -Proven history of safe operation of equipment -Product knowledge of drywall board, mud, steel and tools helpful -Basic math and literacy skills for counting and verifying material received and loaded -Good verbal communication skills -Past history of good attendance without tardiness -High energy level -Proven interest in working outdoors -Knowledge of how to warehouse materials and product for maximum efficiency helpful -Valid driver's license in the state where the facility exists -Previous experience driving commercial trucks over 26,000 lbs. helpful -Physical ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds on an irregular basis Company Benefits: -Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability & Life Insurance -401k -Paid holidays & vacation days This job description is subject to change at any time Launch your career with a national building materials distributor and discover opportunities for growth and advancement.
