Opened with a "Black Tie Affair" on Jan. 17, 1941, the Citrus Theater was a staple of entertainment and nightlife in Downtown Edinburg for roughly 50 years. Not only did it bring cinematic classics to Edinburg residents, but it also highlighted worldwide events and news such as the Attack on Pearl Harbor, Battle of The Bulge, The Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, and The Civil Rights Movement. We know what the history and significance of the Citrus Theater means to many here in Edinburg. As such, we're opening her grand doors for one final tour of the space before her facelift.
