This class is a fundraiser for Feed Iowa First and all proceeds will go towards summer farming operations and distribution. Join Kit and Emmaly to create your own unique gourd birdhouse with beautiful gourds grown and dried by Feed Iowa First. These birdhouses will look stunning in any yard and will provide a nesting place for local birds. Individuals can choose their gourd (one large or two small), and hole size to accommodate different species of birds. The class will walk participants through drilling, prep, and sealing the gourds so they last several seasons. All materials will be provided. Interested in making more? Feed Iowa First will also have grab-n-go gourds for sale for $5-$10 to take with you and make at home.
