A four mile flat river paddle on the scenic Neuse River to raise money for the Mother Earth Foundation It's back! After two years off, we're excited for the return of the Mother Earth River Paddle on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022! The paddle is a flat-water, all downriver paddle along a scenic 4.5 mile stretch of the Neuse River, guided by Mother Earth Brewing brewers and staff. You'll also get a trash bag and have the opportunity to help us clean up our river, with prizes for those picking up the most trash! Oh, and did we mention that we'll be providing fresh, cold Mother Earth Brewing beers and Sercy Spiked Seltzers the whole time you're on the river? The cost of the trip is $50, which includes your guided river tour, shuttle service from Mother Earth Brewing to the launch point and from the landing back to Mother Earth Brewing, and drinks to enjoy on the river. If you purchase an "Admission and Kayak Rental" ticket, we'll include all of your paddle gear (boat, paddle and life preserver). Want to bring your own canoe or kayak? No problem! Just purchase the "Admission and BYO Equipment" ticket and get with us; we can help you get your boat to the launch and back from the landing. We're offering two different trips, a morning trip beginning at 10am and ending around 1pm, and a 2pm trip that will end around 5pm. 100% of the funds raised from this event go straight to the Mother Earth Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that will fund and engage in activities that protect, preserve, and benefit the environment. Launched in 2021, it was established in order to support North Carolina organizations dedicated to providing for the world around us, and will accept applications for projects on a quarterly basis and issue monetary support to those selected. We are incredibly thankful for our partners, Kinston Parks and Recreation and Sound Rivers for helping us coordinate this year's paddle to raise money for the foundation! If you want to take part in this year's paddle, get your tickets now, as this event has always sold out well in advance! Just make sure that you: Are at least 21 years of agePurchase the correct ticket and time that you want (an "Admission and Kayak Rental" ticket means we'll provide your paddle gear, an "Admission and BYO Boat" ticket means you'll provide your own vessel and gear).Make note that the event is RAIN OR SHINE!
