Increase your accessibility for clients with disabilities and become a stronger advocate for yourself and your organization. Accessibility means that all people can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with you and your organization and be active, contributing members of your mission. In this workshop, we'll cover: Types of disabilities and their prevalenceThe use of "person-first" language and "identity-first" languageEnvironmental, technological, and societal barriersEquitable access for all individualsBecoming a stronger advocateBuilding an accessible toolboxThe workshop also counts as a one hour CEU for social work licensing in the state of Alabama.
