Accessibility means that all people can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with you and your organization and be active, contributing members of your mission. In this workshop, we'll cover:
Types of disabilities and their prevalenceThe use of "person-first" language and "identity-first" languageEnvironmental, technological, and societal barriersEquitable access for all individualsBecoming a stronger advocateBuilding an accessible toolboxThe workshop also counts as a one hour CEU for social work licensing in the state of Alabama. It is free for Shoals Nonprofit Center members and $10 for those who are not members. Lunch will also be provided.
