Rayna focuses on providing employers with practical advice for effectively managing employment issues. She is experienced representing and advising national, regional, and local clients on issues related to litigation prevention, employment discrimination and harassment, retaliation, employee discipline, hiring and termination, leaves of absences, drug testing, reductions in force, and other personnel matters. Rayna also has extensive experience drafting multi-state handbooks and policies, and employment, termination, severance, independent contractor, and restrictive covenant agreements. Rayna has successfully responded on behalf of employers to state and federal agencies in numerous claims or charges under anti-discrimination, wage and hour, and employee leave laws. Rayna frequently writes on and leads seminars on employment law and human resource issues. Rayna is the national Co-Chair of Ogletree’s Drug Testing Practice Group. She regularly advises employers on navigating multi-state drug testing issues and on recreational and medical marijuana laws. Rayna has particular expertise in drafting drug testing policies and procedures, and conducing training for employers on drug testing procedures, marijuana laws and accommodations, and “reasonable suspicion” training for supervisors and managers.
