Southwest Georgia middle & high school professionals involved in career counseling for the healthcare workforce, including healthcare teachers, math & science teachers, work-based learning coordinators, & counselors in the Southwest Georgia Area Health Education Center (SOWEGA-AHEC) 38-county region, will be eligible to participate. Limit 3 per school.

Academy Activities:
Interactive learning about what is involved in specific health occupations.
Learn to use SOWEGA-AHEC support materials.
Work cooperatively in groups and discuss adapting new content knowledge, experience, and materials into specific educational situations.
Explore topics related to the shortage of health care professionals.
