Join MIX as we celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day with the Senior Showcase! MIX invites you to celebrate the second class of students graduating from the Richmond Institute for Design + Innovation (RIDI) at Western Michigan University(WMU)! Join the creative community for the Senior Showcase on April 21st from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. There is no better way to celebrate World Innovation Day than with these talented students who are preparing to launch their careers! Students will show off their projects and discuss their experience with the program that was designed by local companies. This is an awesome opportunity to see how the innovative RIDI curriculum prepares emerging design leaders by taking the concepts of design and innovation to a whole new level. Created in the fall of 2016, the program brings together entrepreneurship, engineering, and fine arts coursework to train future generations of product designers interested in innovating specific products and global systems. Read more about the transdisciplinary approach preparing graduates to lead in the field of industrial design. Following the open house, attendees and students are invited to a meet-up for drinks and networking downtown Kalamazoo in Bates Alley. More information will be provided at the main event. Free parking will be available in the Miller Parking Structure. Signage will direct you to the Fountain Plaza area near Miller Auditorium.
