Press release from University of Wisconsin - Green Bay: March 21, 2022 The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the ensuing war is now in its fourth week. The conflict is having a devastating effect. History professors Clifton Ganyard, Mark Karau, Eric Morgan, and Heidi Sherman will discuss the war in Ukraine and its significance on Thursday, March 24, 12:30-2:00, in MAC 107 on the Green Bay Campus. Prof. David Coury will moderate the event. There have been estimated 1,500 Ukrainian civilian casualties, 3,000 Ukrainian and 7,000 Russian military casualties, 3 million refugees have fled Ukraine, cities such as Mariupol and Kharkiv lie in ruins while Kyiv is under assault, and anti-war protests have taken place around the world. The event will be streamed through Zoom: https://tinyurl.com/roundtable-zoom. Refreshments will be provided by MESA. Please join us for what is sure to be an interesting conversation.
