Description
I'm mainly a bass player who has been in a number of bands over the years, but I haven't been involved in an original project for nearly a decade. I also play, passably, acoustic 6- and 12-string, hammered and Appalachian dulcimers, mandolin and octave mandolin, bodhran and cajon, some tinwhistle, and can harmonize on vocals pretty well.
I've kept my chops up playing at my church and jamming for fun. I'm looking to do something with original music, though, and would enjoy playing at venues again or even doing some street busking. (I have a license to busk on a corner on Las Olas, so that's actually a possibility.)
Not sure what format would work best: maybe a full band, or a duo/trio with another multi-instrumentalist and/or singer. I like prog, regular old rock, Irish trad, other acoustic-driven styles, and some heavier stuff, but I wouldn't want to limit the creative spark by deciding ahead of time what the music should sound like.
I have a regular day job, family, and all the other normal life stuff, so while I'm excited about playing, I'm definitely not able to do this as a full-time project. But, if you're into the idea of playing some (hopefully) interesting original music, please send a message and let me know what you've got in mind. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Here's a clip of me trying to play something by the late, great Wayne Pedzwater: https://youtu.be/mBaSG2tyePM
