NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk man was arrested Tuesday following a months-long investigation into a child exploitation case, police said.
Franklin Eaton was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, fourth-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury. He was taken into custody outside his place of business and courts set his bond at $100,000.
The investigation began in October 2021, when a child's family received what Bridgeport police called "a disturbing letter" that claimed the child had been sexually exploited by a known person.
The child's family notified the Bridgeport Police Department's Special Victims Unit, which began investigating several perpetrators, police said.
Police said they expect additional arrests in this case and are asking anyone with information on Eaton to contact Det. Freddy Neal at 203-581-5234 or anonymously at 203-576-TIPS(8477).
The Norwalk Police Department's Special Services Unit helped Bridgeport police in Eaton's arrest, cops said.
